The Veterinary Technician Assistant works hand in hand with the veterinarians to ensure quality patient care, and to aid the doctors in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work.
Requirements-One or more of the following:
- Experience in a veterinary practice or medical environment.
- Currently attending school, in a Vet Tech Program.
- Completion of a Vet Tech Program.
Duties will include:
- Assisting Technicians and Doctors.
- Animal restraint.
- Administering & monitoring anesthesia.
- Collecting lab samples.
- Performing lab tests.
- Taking radiographs.
- Administering medications, vaccines and treatments prescribed by DVM.
- Venipuncture.
- Cleaning clinic & kennels.
- Customer service.
- Answering phones.
Other Details:
- Must be solution-oriented, accountable, and a direct and honest communicator.
- Must demonstrate critical thinking and empathy and be able to multitask.
- Full-time or part-time positions are available.
