Veterinary kennel technicians are responsible for the day-to-day care of in-house patients as well as maintaining hospital cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
- Feeding, watering, cleaning, walking and monitoring the well-being of dogs and cats.
- Cleaning the hospital throughout the shift and at the end of the day.
Requirements:
- Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects, the confidence to administer medications, and the ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or disease.
- It is essential to have the ability and willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for hospitalized pets.
Other Details:
- Must be solution-oriented, accountable, and a direct and honest communicator.
- Must demonstrate critical thinking and empathy and be able to multitask.
